Electronic cigarettes are the future, they argue. Cheaper, cleaner and cooler than smoking, "vaping" — using a vaporiser to inhale nicotine infused with exotic flavours ranging from pina colada to bubblegum — will spell the end of tobacco.

A leading anti-smoking charity has given a cautious thumbs-up to Birmingham City after the club announced a shirt sponsorship deal with an electronic cigarette company.

 

Action on Smoking and Health, (ASH) an organisation set up to combat the harm caused by tobacco, says it has no problem with the marketing of manufacturer Nicolites as it is aimed exclusively at an adult audience.
